OK — been using this thing for about a few months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.

How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at dutch betting calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that really changed how I bet is the nerdier tools. There’s an probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The design looks very functional, let’s say — zero flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it works though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you even now adds it up in their head, have a look — saves me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
